I. Why We Trust LiveHealth Online

LiveHealth Online provides medical care remotely for common health issues and urgent care conditions, along with psychotherapy and psychiatric treatment and therapy. Eligible medication refills may be provided on a short-term basis. Patients meet with LiveHealth Online’s medical providers via video visits on their PC, laptop, smartphone, or other electronic devices.

Telehealth services are a new experience for many people. Once you’re familiar with the process, you’re likely to appreciate the easy access to medical care and convenience telehealth offers. However, it’s important to first identify the pros and cons of different providers to determine your most essential requirements.

What we like about LiveHealth Online

The principal benefit LiveHealth Online provides is its around-the-clock access to medical care for common health concerns. Most patients report being connected to a physician within 10 minutes.

LiveHealth Online has a free app that allows you to attend telehealth appointments on your iOS- or Android-enabled smartphone.

In addition to treatment for common medical problems, like allergies, the flu, pink eye, and skin infections, LiveHealth Online offers psychiatric care and psychotherapy telehealth appointments.

LiveHealth Online accepts many major insurance plans, and medical appointments average only $59 per visit.

Finally, it’s free to sign up for LiveHealth Online, and there are no monthly fees.

Things customers should consider about LiveHealth Online

LiveHealth’s physicians will not prescribe certain medications, such as muscle relaxants, ED medications, and weight loss prescriptions. A complete list is on the company’s website.

Customers should know that the law prohibits LiveHealth Online doctors from providing controlled substances except in cases of extreme emergencies.

LiveHealth Online doesn’t complete many of the commonly requested medical forms. These include FMLA forms, camp or school physicals, disability insurance reports, DMV paperwork, and service dog requests.

To use the LiveHealth Online service, customers must have high-speed internet and use a smartphone or computer with a working camera and audio.

III. How LiveHealth Online Works

Customers can access LiveHealth Online services with a computer or mobile device that runs iOS or Android. New users must first create an account on the LiveHealth Online website. The online sign-up form requires your full name, email, and a password. You then need to complete your profile with your location, date of birth, and gender.

The next step addresses insurance. If you have coverage, select your health plan from a drop-down list. If you don’t have coverage or your plan isn’t listed, choose the applicable option and complete your profile.

Once users have logged in, they can choose from six categories: Medical, Medical for Kids, Allergy, Psychology, Psychiatry, and Cuidado Medico. Some categories allow you to select a provider and be seen right away. You can either see the first available provider or review provider profiles and choose your preferred doctor or nurse practitioner.

Provider profile snippets display their availability. For example, if they’re available for an immediate appointment, their status states, “Start Visit.” Other statuses show how many patients are waiting or note the provider is offline. If no providers are available in the category you choose, you can select a future appointment time by date or by the provider.

After selecting your provider, you enter a virtual waiting room. You then choose whether the appointment is for you or your child and whether you prefer a video consultation or phone call. You may also invite up to four guests to join your visit. The system asks for information about the reason for the consultation, some medical history, and your preferred pharmacy.

If you don’t have insurance or LiveHealth Online doesn’t accept your plan, you may pay for your telehealth visit with Visa, American Express, Discover, or MasterCard. Prescription costs are separate. LiveHealth Online’s psychiatrists may prescribe some medications, but no controlled substances. For medical and allergy visits, providers can issue short-term medication refills in qualified circumstances, such as during travel, but refills must be obtained from a primary care provider. Each medical visit is about 10-15 minutes long. Psychotherapy appointments are 45 minutes long.

Customer support is available 24/7 via phone to answer questions about customer telehealth visits, troubleshoot problems with the website or mobile app, reset passwords, and help with other technical issues. Email support is available Monday through Friday during business hours.
